Anyone Else Want To Smack OJ?

I guess the question should be: Is there anyone who does NOT want to smack OJ Simpson?

I want to beat him about the head with a hot cast iron skillet. Not because he brutally murdered two people, got away with it and then wrote a book about how he did it. He deserves far worse for that crime, but the justice system failed.

It’s this latest armed robbery thing. Not the fact that I believe he is guilty of the 12 charges against him, and not even the latest smug shot.

Here’s why I just want to pound him into the ground. Have you seen him in court?

He doesn’t say a word, and he doesn’t have to say anything. All the eye rolling and huffing and puffing is far more than enough.

At the four day preliminary hearing he didn’t just sit and listen to the testimony like a sane defendant might. There was a lot of pulling faces, shifting around, the previously mentioned eye rolling and heavy breathing and sighing.

And that’s why, right now, I feel in the mood for some violence against OJ.

  • No Criminal Charges Against OJ Simpson

Criminal charges against OJ Simpson for the armed robbery of a memorabilia dealer in Las Vegas have unfortunately, not materialized.

TMZ said today that the memorabilia dealer told them that OJ apologized to him and that he and OJ Simpson “fight like brothers” but maintain a good relationship.

The dealer had testified for Simpson in the wrongful death civil case against him and said in court that after his acquittal the value of OJ Simpson memorabilia went down. So apparently the junk he is, or was, trying to sell, isn’t worth squat. Yeah, right.

Another interesting thing that was reported today was that OJ Simpson says that the police in Vegas told him to work things out with the memorabilia dealer.

What? Since when do the police tell an armed robber who reportedly took the items at gunpoint, flanked by his thugs, to “work it out” with the victim? Something doesn’t wash here.

So I’m thinking, there are several things that might have happened.

    1. That OJ and his thugs did not rob the man at gunpoint. (ummm.. unlikely)
    2. That the dealer is so afraid of OJ Simpson that he retracted his statements about the robbery. (this seems more likely to me)
    or
    3. That the Las Vegas police don’t want to mess with OJ. (maybe, but why would they be afraid of him?)

The whole thing makes little sense to me, but then again, this is OJ Simpson we are talking about.

Oh, also another crazy thing I swear I heard on the news today was that OJ Simpson was in Vegas to promote his new book. What??? Is OJ promoting “If I Did It” for the Goldman family? Or did he write a different book? What’s the deal with him supposedly promoting a book? I will have to investigate this further to try to get some answers.

You may recall a recent story I wrote here called “Prosecutor Accused of Pumping Info From Defendant’s Mom” in which I told you about a city prosecutor named Liam Michael Golden who was sleeping with the mother of a teen arson defendant.

Well, it seems that Golden wasn’t just sleeping with that defendant’s mom.

Now there is a complaint with the Washington State Bar Association alleging that he has screwed up as many as four cases with his sexual activities.

In the case I told you about before he was sleeping with a teen arson defendant’s mom. In another case he’s accused of sleeping with a victim’s mother. In a third case he was prosecuting a person accused of cyber stalking a woman he was sleeping with.

In the fourth case Golden seemed to manage to keep his pants up, but there are claims that he brought the case just to deflect the heat he was getting from the press. He decided to prosecute a 16 year old boy who sold drugs to the mayor’s 20 year old son. The mayor’s son died from a drug overdose.

In the cyber stalking case, Golden has decided to transfer the case to another prosecutor.

In the other three cases, it looks like Golden has some explaining to do.
